Little House on the Prairie 18 inch Doll Oleson's Mercantile Play Set

I received this today, the packaging was great, it had great support, the wood is sturdy, the paint job is nice, it is easy to open and close the doors, it has alot of nice shelves with it, the only issue I had was some screws were loose on the entrance door I tightened them up and it is all good. I also like I can close it up if I need to store it.

I am so pleased with this set! It's sturdy, so cute, and so much fun to use. It was packaged very well and arrived in perfect condition. Yes, it is heavy, but I count that as a good thing. :-) It's going to last and be fun for a long, long time. I wish I could add a picture of mine.

I have owned some other Queen's Treasures furniture for years and still enjoy having them in my collection. When this new mercantile display came out for pre-order, it was above my budget ... happily for me, there was a spectacular sale on Leap Year day. It was such a nice surprise because I needed a special pick-me-up during that time, LOL. It recently arrived without damage in a huge box, packed securely and intact. I knew it would be a big item, but had underestimated the weight. It was a bit difficult to slide out of the box without some help. It is beautifully designed and well-thought out, though one thing I wish it had was a carry handle or straps of some kind. It was a bit daunting carrying it up stairs to a spare bedroom. I also wish there were some "mercantile" accessories available to purchase, like the round boxes, cake stands, 'paper' roll, etc. I can hunt around since this 18" doll play scale is relatively easy to find accessories for. I will probably modernize it more and add some decorative wall paper behind the back shelves. Btw, it's a little tricky figuring out how to add the extra furniture pieces back inside in order to close the doors. I've already forgotten how I did it until I open it again! :)
