Little House On The Prairie Clothes Storage Trunk for 18 Inch Dolls

I've had this piece for a couple of years and first used it for doll clothes, adding wires through the side cubbies for hanging additional smaller doll clothes and sweaters. It's a wide piece, but after awhile, I decided on a more compact method for storing the same clothes. Wondering what to do afterward with this nice furniture piece, I moved it to the top of a cubicle shelf in my dining room for storing tea boxes and small herb accoutrements in the cubbies, and tall wine bottles in the centers. I had already removed the hanger hardware from the tall sections, and I now keep the doors closed over the side shelves. It's very cute in it's current position, even though not being used as intended. I love the country look, and enjoy seeing it every day being put to good use. I don't suggest hanging it on a wall, as I first did that when I moved it to my dining room. Eventually any substantial weight will case the bottom to sag a bit. I now have it set directly on my furniture unit, and the warping is no longer noticeable. Also, be careful when sliding the doors as the ends of the metal runners only have a small triangular piece of soft wood to stop the rollers. I had to glue one back on after it broke off.

I’ve been wanting this price for awhile and had a hard time finding it because I didn’t realize it was clothes storage and Little House on the prairie specific. I’m very happy with piece but think it would be nicer sanded and stained as I found a few splinters. I may end up doing this myself.
