The new barn-door storage closet is rustic and delightful, as is the rest of the Laura Ingalls collection. It is important to know that I am an adult collector and adults play differently than kids.

The closet fits dolls comfortably when bare foot, snuggly with shoes on, and doesn't accommodate display stands. Fuller skirted outfits will get a bit smooshed in the closet for storage, but also can be arranged as charmingly overflowing the door when situated for display. The provided hangers allow dresses to fit more comfortably, A.G. hangers work well too. The hangers that accompany Queen's Treasures outfits are a little too wide. Children don't typically care about wrinkling their doll's clothes and this closet's inviting little cubbies certainly encourage tidiness.

The barn-doors are nicely detailed and work smoothly. For careful enthusiasts, it can be a lovely backdrop for hours of household/barn imaginative fun without wall mounting. If I had a smaller child playing with it, I would mount it to the wall at a child friendly height. I haven't decided whether to hang mine on the wall or not. I love to both play and display!!

I think the Barn-Door display closet strikes the balance between accommodating numerous accessories and still being a practically sized charming piece of furniture that will fit in a child's bedroom or play space.
