- In 1960, Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE, UN Messenger of Peace and founder of the Jane Goodall Institute, started her pioneering research on wild chimpanzees in what is now Tanzania's Gombe National Park. Inspired by her Gombe research camp, this set is scaled for 18" doll play.
- 17 piece collection includes an 18" doll outfit modeled on one Dr. Goodall wore while studying chimpanzees in their native habitat, an 18" doll-sized tent and sleeping cot, plus a camp table & chair like the ones she used in the field.
Comes complete with crated wooden research kit that contains spotting scope, camera, journal, lantern and typewriter, plus mother and baby chimpanzee plush figures and a child-sized mother and baby chimpanzee backpack.
- Tent features pole frame and cover over a plank floor with room for two 18" dolls. All pieces fabricated using Dr. Goodall's philosophy of safe, sustainable materials and fair labor as a guide. All wood is Forest Stewardship Council Certified and packaging is made of recycled materials.
10% of sales will be donated to the Jane Goodall Institute to support Dr. Goodall' s research, chimpanzee conservation and the graduation of a new generation of conservationists.
